NIR analyzer for Combines

How Does CropScan 4000VT Work?

The CropScan 4000VT ISOBUS On Combine Grain Analyser integrates with Modell year of 23/24 Case IH 250 Series Combines  and New Holland CR Combines. The technology scans and reads the CANBUS messages for grower, farm field selection, crop type, rotor engage, yield and grain tank weight, GPS and auger position status. The messages control the operation of the CropScan 4000VT and display the protein, moisture, oil, starch, yield and grain tank weight within the CropScan 4000VT screen. This data is then stored locally within the NIR spectrometer ECU and synced to the CropScanAg cloud.

Case IH

The CropScan 4000VT system is compatible with CASE IH combines that support modern ISOBUS integration. Based on manufacturer information, it works primarily with newer models equipped with compatible virtual terminals.

🔹 Case IH 250 Series combines – especially newer MY23/24 models that support ISOBUS and integration with Pro 700, Pro 700 Plus, or Pro 1200 displays.

🔹 Case IH 50 Series combines – certain sources indicate that the CropScan 4000VT can also integrate with these models via ISOBUS.

The CropScan 4000VT connects through ISOBUS and CANBUS communication, allowing it to read combine data such as:

  • Rotor engagement

  • Yield data

  • GPS position

The system displays real-time grain analysis (protein, moisture, oil content, etc.) directly on the in-cab virtual terminal
(e.g., Pro 700 / Pro 1200 monitors).

New Holland

The CropScan 4000VT grain analyser integrates with the MY23/24 New Holland CR Series combines. These are the latest generation CR machines that support ISOBUS and CANBUS communication, allowing the CropScan system to read data like crop type, yield, rotor engagement and grain tank weight directly from the combine's systems.

🔸 The system displays Protein, Moisture, Oil and other real-time grain quality information on the combine's cab display using the IntelliView IV/V monitors (New Holland's ISOBUS virtual terminal).

  • The CropScan 4000VT uses ISOBUS integration to read CANBUS messages from the combine.

  • It runs a Virtual Terminal via the New Holland ISOBUS display (IntelliView series).

  • It collects and combines grain quality data (protein, moisture, oil, starch) with yield and GPS info.

  • Results are shown live in cab and can be synced to CropScanAg's cloud & field management tools.

Key Features

  • Higher Spatial Density Data Maps, 180 readings per hectare or 72 readings per acre.
  • Calibrations include: wheat, barley, canola, lentils, chickpeas, lupins, rice, oats, corn, soybeans.
  • Larger Sample Head to ensure flow of corn and soybeans.
  • Automatic Start and Stop using CANBUS messages ISOBUS Integration* (MY23/24 Case IH 250 Series Combines) allows for easier operation and fewer monitors in the cab.

How Can This Data Help Me?

The results captured from the scan for protein, moisture, oil, starch and fibre are displayed on the CropScan display in the form of field data, field maps, graphs, tank data, field and site storage data which are then synced to the user's CropScanAg Cloud Account. Enabling farmers to make better decisions regarding when to start harvest, blending grain and improving nitrogen management practices across the farm.

N-GAUGE Mobile App

The CropScanAg N-GAUGE Mobile App offers a subscription-based suite of management tools for farmers to N-GAUGE their harvest data. The N-GAUGE grain logistic and nutrient manager modules can be accessed from any smart device. Connect and share data across the farm with your team and advisors. The sensor data for protein, moisture, oil and yield are collected during the harvest in the CropScan display. The data is pushed to the CropScanAg Cloud every cycle of the unloading auger. The updated data can then be visualised in the grain logistics and nutrient manager modules.
